he is a vocaloid producer and makes electro-swing/pop/? kind of music. i think his songs are super jazzy and really nice. he even covered some of his songs himself. his old vocaloid stuff is under his old name, and his newer singles under his new name. he also has a band called "van de shop"

I have been listening to Bastille on loop, but for you specifically as the LucKae Enjoyer I'll drop The Weight Of Living Pt II - both part 1 and 2 are good (and I would honestly say pt 1 is Diluc where 2 is Kaeya just based on lyrics and instrumentals/beat) but pt 2 gets stuck in my head more. LOVE an upbeat existential crisis! Speaking of LucKae! Hello have you read the Christmas fic I'm writing for them which is so so so so so about the vibes in Stick Season by Noah Kahan who is again a fav artist, yeehaw. Very much a song about how empty the holidays can feel when you've got someone you miss: And I'll, dream each night of some version of you / That I might not have but I did not lose / Now you're tire tracks and one pair of shoes / And I'm split in half but that'll have to do

Switching moods a little bit to throw one of my all time favorite artist, REOL, on this list at top speed: she's got a lot of good original songs and Vocaloid covers (and I was sooooo hyped to hear her work with MIHOYO for the character Rappa in H:SR) but Bring It On is absolutely one of the best bangers; teenage rebellion condensed in one song. The bugs, the losses, the fuck-ups, all of it / With my bare hands, I'll live, live through it and overthrow it!

I don't have a big essay on why I love this 80's Style Remix of Numb by Lincoln Park except for this line stolen from the YouTube comments: "when you have depression and Saturday night fever at the same time" it's just a bop! sorry!

It's a little bit Mob Psycho (awkward teens with weird abilities in a modern-with-magic setting), a little bit Chainsaw Man (the creator used to edit for CSM and he picked up the raunchy humor and slapstick for sure) but a whole lot of fun. Fullmetal Alchemist Chapter 78

10 days have passed after the last chapter.

I'm absolutely certain Mustang's crew were all sent away to be killed. Every single one of them is in a hotbed location for the national transmutation circle. Looks like Falman passed the information about the circle to Breda and Fuery.

And Sloth has finished the tunnel. It's been about two weeks since he was put back into the tunnel so I'm going to guess the tunnel was started very close to Briggs. Maybe the passage Kimblee found last chapter was near the starting point?

We're back in Reole. About 4 months prior, Ed revealed the Leto church to be a sham and reported it to East HQ. Eastern Troops came in to keep the area from falling into a riot. But then Central troops were deployed and the Eastern forces were dismissed. That's when the riots turned violent. That was roughly a week or two later. About a month later, the riots were under control, but many lives were lost.

No explanation is given why the riots stopped. Maybe all the Leto supporters were killed or maybe everyone just were tired of fighting. The Homunculi got what they wanted so there was no need to continue riling people up. Now, everyone's coming together to fix the damage that's been done and move forward.

Rose managed to take Ed's words to heart. Last we saw her, she was on the floor crying because she'd discovered everything she believed was a lie.

But now she's managing to smile despite everything that's happened and she's doing what she can to rebuild and move forward.

There must have been a need for multiple access points to the tunnel for moving refuse and to just get Sloth back on task quickly when he wandered off.

Remember how I mentioned the tunnel was being dug counterclockwise and Sloth had come from the East when he reached Briggs? Do you know where you'd end up if you traveled along a circlular arc traveling southeast from Briggs? You'd reach Reole.

Pride's shadow is large, but it's not infinitely large. Hohenheim said it can move freely within the tunnel, not that it is everywhere. So Pride has likely been hanging around the east part of the tunnel to overlook the processes to remove rubble and guard the newer entry points from any potential intruders.

The survey team Pride killed had probably gotten too close to Reole and Pride ended up discovering them on its patrols.

Hohenheim and Pride's discussion implies the concept of the seven deadly sins exists in the FMA verse. It doesn't seem to be a concept in Amestris though since no one connected the dots over the naming scheme. I'm going to say that in-universe, it was specific to Cselkcess culture and religion.

And Hohenheim is calling Father out. He's surprised Father put in the effort to make Pride look like his old form, and he calls Father arrogant and pompous. Hohenheim knows Father is a hack.

10 days is too short to deploy a military force like the one from Drachma. We also need to remove additional days to account for Kimblee traveling to the country and informing them about Major General Armstrong being recalled.

Admittedly Verbal Justice is not my fave melody line, the verses slap but the chorus is a bit slow with a haunting mantra-like repetition that can get grating unlike Femme Fatale. I understand it's intentional considering like saviour/path to God references though and it was fun though not something I'll slap onto a playlist I'll listen everyday unlike Magic Transistor or Hoodstars. Also Giga-P's never known for having a bad chorus so tough competition to beat there.

BUT YOU KNOW THE CRAZIEST THING ABOUT THIS.

Awich's recommended discography:

Queendom is an autobiographical song about Awich's life story here and it's well worth a watch, phenomenal storytelling and I adore it so much.

And so it's like doubly amazing they got the Queen herself to make lyrics for Otome who's in a similar position of climbing to power with her own smarts, resolve and words for a better world in her homeplace like Awich returning to Japan where she moves hearts with her voice too. But well, there are clear differences there storyline wise when Otome is set up to be one of the top villains/antagonists. Very understandable sentiment tho.

And speaking of origin stories, Awich did do a collab with some Oikinawan youths, SugLawd Familiar and CHICO CARLITO called Longiness Remix. comments say they're (I think SugLawd Familiar in particular) in high school? Seriously?? And it's a jam!

🌸I can't say I do. It rarely comes up, either way. When Void goes with Thoma to feed the strays, I rarely have time to join them. If anything it's...cute, seeing them interact with animals. Especially cats. They can get quite insistent with Void, hehe.

📗We don't have a pet. It would be somewhat foolish to get jealous over such a thing, wouldn't it? Besides, like Kamisato, it's nice just to see my partner relaxed and happy. Things have been stressful as of late, so the look on their face as they cuddle an animal should be cherished.

🌸I courted Void very properly, back then. But that was less about impressing them and more about making sure we really were as compatible as I believed. I do think Hohenheim would get more of a pass if like, his plan to save the world was any good. That, or if he made any effort to explain why he left to anyone. That being said, a lot of that can be attributed to his own bad coping mechanisms with his own thoughts on himself and humanity. I feel like his first moments with Alphonse in Liore/Reole kind of speak to his mentality there.

He also could have totally still been a dad by the end of the series since his kids were still growing up to a degree. It wasn’t a case where they were already grown up and whatnot. I don’t consider Hohenheim a good dad, but in terms of “bad animated fathers who were bad dads but wanted to be better,” Hohenheim is definitely one of the examples with more points in his favor, at least in some ways.

Fullmetal Alchemist Chapter 80

Thinking back, Jelso and Zanpano only just got involved in all this and their first interaction with a Homunculus was Envy in it's super form.

And speaking of, Envy stays defiant despite everything. It made one last attempt to hijack Yoki's body only for that to not work. And even when kept in a jar, it still insults everyone around it. It called Ed a squirt despite being way smaller than him now.

There's a little straw in the jar cork so Envy can get air.

Envy's defiant antics are more funny because of what it looks like right now. If they could have taken it hostage while it was in its human form, Envy's snobbish refusal to give information wouldn't look so silly.

It's easy to forget how dangerous, manipulative, and sadistic Envy actually is when it's a cute little slug.

Marcoh said he threw out his hip fighting Envy and now he's using a walking stick.

At the crossroad, May takes Envy eastward to head to Youswell.

If we orient ourselves a little, we can determine the party was traveling southward. Later in the chapter, the party, minus Scar and Marcoh, are in Reole.

But here's the thing: Reole is north of Youswell. So Al's team would likely need to take the same road May just went down to head for Youswell.

Everyone, except Scar, was blushing at May tearfully grabbing Al as she said goodbye.

Winry decides to be nosy about Al's love life and then Al gets back at her about it later.

Going forward, time is highly convoluted. We were likely still in the Northern parts of Amestris but since the series has been transitioning to winter, it's always possible it's starting to snow further south of Briggs.

I can't really pinpoint how long May traveled to get to Youswell nor how long it took Al's party to reach Reole. May seems to have taken a train to reach Youswell. Meanwhile, Al probably can't risk riding a train because he would be too conspicuous and Winry is in hiding so she can't be used as a hostage. Furthermore, Reole doesn't have a direct train line so they'd have to travel on foot for part of it.

Several days to several weeks might have passed during this chapter depending on how long it took everyone to reach where they got to.

It seems like Youswell is becoming a somewhat more touristy area. Or at least it's economy has grown beyond just coal.

May was so quick to run back to Central with a slight nudge from Envy. I wander if there's anything of value to May back home. She's a princess of Xing, but she's the princess from the weakest clan in Xing and Xiao Mei is her only friend. She cares about her clan, but it's more like an obligatory care.

But in Amestris, she has made friends and met people she cares for on a personal level.

Envy knows how to manipulate people. It understands May is conflicted over having to choose to help the people she cares about and the people she's obligated to help. And Envy brought up a "solution" that can do both.

The small talk between Hawkeye and Wrath has such a bombshell to me.

I am absolutely certain Wrath is angry that his entire life has been decided for him. He even mentions how his son, position, subordinates, and power were all decided and given to him. Nothing he has is truly his own.

So when he saw his family in chapter 32, I think he was genuinely smiling when he saw them because his wife is truly his. And he earned the love she has for him.

Olivier Mira Armstrong and Alex Louis Armstrong are having a violent sibling squabble.

Alex is aware of the national transmutation circle, so someone told him about it. My bet is it was Olivier herself. Falman informed the rest of the Mustang squad, but he doesn't have any reason to consider Alex as someone to inform. Meanwhile, Olivier has a messenger within Central loyal to her family. Despite everything, I'm certain she trusts Alex as an ally when the time comes.

The place Major General Armstrong is taken to is somewhere in that circular passage under the research labs.

I know they're all evil, but they really should do something about all these pipes and cables. This is a humongous tripping hazard.

Fullmetal Alchemist Chapter 15

The conclusion to everything that's happened since getting to Central.

Al finally tells Ed his concerns, resulting in Winry beating Al up and telling him Ed's concerns. Winry is totally right that you need to actually say some things for them to be understood.

Back in chapter 12, I said I'd talk more about the whole "Is Al an artificial soul" bit later. And it's later. First thing, I didn't like this part because I feel like it was executed kind of bad. Why would Al listen to someone like Barry? As soon as Barry suggested Ed created a fake brother, Al should have punched him harder in the face and kept punching until there was a dent in Barry's helmet.

BUT this is an important question. How do we know Alphonse is the real Alphonse? Even if he isn't artificially made by Ed, how do we know at this point in the story if it's actually Al's soul or some copy? These are genuine questions a new reader might ask.

Maria Ross is fed up with being involved in discovering these grand conspiracies.

We have our first official introduction to Fuhrer President King Bradley. He seems like a jovial and trustworthy figure. He tells everyone to stop the investigation for their own safety and be more discreet. Assume the entire military is your enemy, but when the time comes he will call on them. He also mentions Marcoh's entire research team has gone missing.

Now onto something more lighthearted.

MAPS!

We got a full map of the country! It's circular (hmm) but we can't make out any major landmarks or cities from this map. It's possible to tell where Youswell, New Optain, and East City are if you cross reference this map with the ones in earlier chapters. Youswell really is at the end of the east border. I'm going to guess the light grey lines on the map are rivers.

Winry points out Rush Valley, an automail mecca. It looks like Rush Valley is 4 stops south from Central City. We don't see Dublith though.

A little later in the chapter, Hughes is reading a newspaper which has an image showing Reole in relation to New Optain and East City. There are no railroads on the image but it looks like Reole might be somewhat north of Youswell in a section with no train stations.

So here's my guess as to why Ed and Al went to Youswell in chapter 3. Youswell has a single train line connecting it to New Optain. Since it's a coal city, that line is most likely for a freight train that goes back and forth picking up cargo. After leaving Reole, Ed and Al probably went to a train stop along that route and the only train was making its way to Youswell before it would go to New Optain.

Speaking of Hughes, he found something out and was promptly killed. Lust went after him first, probably to make it a quiet affair. But when that failed, Envy made it a more public spectacle. One nice detail is Envy used a photo of Hughes's wife to transform into her, but the photo only shows her from the upper half so Envy didn't really transform their lower half.

Ed is an artist.

Spoiler Discussion

Wrath most likely put the hit out for Hughes. Hughes worked in the court martial office and had access to all the information that would let him find out about the nationwide transmutation circle so Wrath informed Lust and Envy that Hughes needed to die.

Hughes probably realized Bradley was part of the conspiracy just as he was about to call him.

I wonder if Maria Ross and Danny Brosh were also targets for assassination. Even though the two of them weren't actively looking into things, they were within close enough proximity to learn a few things. If Lust had succeeded in quietly killing Hughes in the records room, maybe Maria and Danny would have been killed shortly after. But she failed and Envy is Envy, so Hughes's death became a more public affair and they had to divert their effort to framing Maria Ross for his death. And at that point, they probably would have decided killing Danny would be more trouble than it's worth.

Bradley told everyone to be discreet, assume the entire military is their enemy, and be prepared for him to call on them. These all ring so different when we find out King Bradley is Wrath. Yes, the entire military is their enemy. And when he calls on them, it won't be to stop the conspiracy. It will be to make them help with it.
